Tangerine Dream - Phaedra (1974)

Ok, so people always send me emails saying how nice the records I put on the blog are, how I never post bad music here, how my musical taste and fantastic and etc...

Well, here's a terrible record. I hate it.

Phaedra is regarded by many as Tangerine Dream's masterpiece. Supposedly, this album is one of the best ambient-music records that have ever been made. Many call it a ""transcendental experience"", or, to quote some fellow from amazon.com: "it took me beyond the limits of my imagination".

I have no idea how can someone go beyond the limits of his imagination listening to 40 minutes of one keyboard note constantly pressed. I guess I just don't have what it takes to reach the spiritual potential of such deep albuns, as, for example: Brian Eno's extremely highly acclaimed ambience albuns.

Brian Eno, a very spiritual guy.

If you wanna listen to it and come up with an opinion by yourselves, the download link is right below:

  1. "Phaedra" – 17:45
  2. "Mysterious Semblance at the Strand of Nightmares" – 9:55
  3. "Movements of a Visionary" – 8:01
  4. "Sequent C' " – 2:18
Download 65mb
