[Covers and Tribvtes III] Bryan Ferry - Dylanesque (2007)

Noel Gallagher, from Oasis, was kind enough to send us a quick message. Noel has been a follower of the site since its beginning back in 1997. Noel and Liam always kept close contact with the website. In 2002, Jesvs Cristvs was the first website to broadcast their hit single "The Hindu Times", even before mTV.com.

On an unrelated note, this is Bryan Ferry's (ex lead-singer from Roxy Music) album from 2007: Dylanesque. It comprises of eleven covers of Bob Dylan.

Ferry is a pretty talented folk, and these versions are all really interesting. The album sold quite well back then and even scored a Top 10 in the UK and in Sweden(like someone would care about Sweden's top charts).

Van Morrison - Moondance (1970)

Deeply spiritual. Morrison explores themes of renewal and redemption. Light, soulful, and jazzy, Moondance opens with the sweetly nostalgic "And It Stoned Me," the song's pastoral imagery establishing the dominant lyrical motif recurring throughout the album — virtually every track exults in natural wonder, whether it's the nocturnal magic celebrated by the title cut or the unlimited promise offered in "Brand New Day." Cat Stevens - Harold & Maude Soundtrack (1971)

This post is an answer to the innumerable emails I've received these last few days complaining about the same thing: "The blog is lacking of gentle and peaceful folk-rock music".

Well, alright, then. Here's some Cat Stevens for you with Harold & Maude's soundtrack. The movie is brilliant and tear-inducing. The soundtrack is Steven in his best, in my humble opinion. If you want to sing out, sing out is something I'll sing to my children.
